Tellagami

Hi everyone! This week we were supposed to introduce an app for digital storytelling and I decided to introduce Tellagami. Tellagami is a mobile app that lets you create and share a quick animated Gami video. While this version is free for Android and IOS, its edu version is not free.Tellagami is easy to use, you can prepare simple videos using this app!

                                    Choose a Character

Change your character's hair, eyes, and skin tone. Then choose an outfit to dress your character in style!

Choose a Mood

Give your character some personality by choosing a mood. Happy, sad, angry, surprised, or even silly!

Place the Character

Move your character anywhere on the screen. Make it big or small with just a quick pinch or rotate with a swipe.

Change the Background

Use one of those backgrounds or your own photo to add a setting.

Draw a Doodle

Use your finger to write a message or create a drawing on the background. Experiment with different colours and let your imagination run wild.

Record Your Voice

Record a message for your character to say.

Add Some Dialog

You can use your own voice or you can use one of those. Type something for your character to say and choose a voice.

Preview and Save

See your Gami video in action by clicking preview. You can also save your Gami video to your device to show off later.

Share Your Gami Video

Show off your Gami video! Share it with others through text, Twitter, Facebook, or email.

Tellagami is a fun, new way to share animated messages and useful tool for students and teachers. It's easy to use. Customize your character. Change its mood or outfit. Digital Storytelling

Hi everyone! This week we were supposed to make a digital storytelling about friendship. I and my friend Sonay made a video clip about our friendship and we used movie maker making this video. We had so many pictures that we had difficulty in choosing them. Then, we made up our text according to the pictures and then recorded our voice. Although embeding the recordings behind the pictures was so time consuming and hard, we enjoyed and turned back our old school days. No matter how hard it was, we are really satisfied with the conclusion. As a teacher you can assign your students for making up a story about the subject which is currently treated. You can do exercise of basic subjects like colours etc. It's a funny way to use and it's useful for learners.

Anglomaniacy

Hi everyone! This week we were assigned to choose and introduce a website for learning/practising English. I chose Anglomaniacy after searching some other websites.

• This is a site for kids who are learning English as a foreign or second language. Young ESL students will find here lots of online activities and hundreds of printable worksheets that can help them with their English.

• This is also a resource site for parents and teachers of young ESL learners.They offer tons of free, ready-to-print teaching materials including flashcards, quizzes, games, song lyrics as awell as a big collection of useful links to other ESL/EFL websites.

•  It can be used for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development. 

• Actually, there is no team working on this website, just one person. Her name is Barbara, She lives in Poland, and she is the creator and owner of anglomaniacy.pl.She set up this website in 2005 to help her very young pupils with their English. Now it's attracting teachers, parents and students from all over the world!

This website offers vocabulary, grammar, songs, some expressions, abc animals, holidays and printables.

In grammar lesson; you can learn, practise, test yourself or print out if you want. In vocabulary section, you can choose a topic in a alphabetical order. You can choose a song and sing it with its lyrics. In expressions section, you can see basic English expressions and practise. It also offers worksheets, reference cards, activities, cards and games. You can learn animals with abc and it cares about cultural issues. It gives information about holidays.

Vocabulary section introduces kids to basic English vocabulary grouped into 36 thematic topics, reflecting kids' interests. Select a category, then learn and practise new words with those online and printable activities.

Grammar section can help young learners develop their grammar skills. Those activities, suitable for beginners and young learners, focus on the main grammatical topics taught on elementary English courses.

In conclusion, I can advice this website my student to use, because when student can learn something, they will enjoy at the same time. Any learner can learn English by using this website with ease and fun. With songs, games they get the children attention and facilitate the learning process. It is appealing to the eye. Yet, some instructions are not as simply as chidren can understand. Lack of simplicity is the only thing that I don't like. Generally, it's enjoyable and satisfying. If you are looking for a website for kids, this website is appropriate!

Wiki Project!

Hello! Last week, we learned how to use wikis. We were assigned to create a wiki page about one of our favourite books. I tried to introduce it with some photos and a link. Finally, we rated it on a 5 star scale.
In my opinion, wiki can be very useful with English learners. When they learn to do something, they will enjoy at the same time! It also helps to increase their creativity and writing skills. I think it will be attractive for learners, I am sure I will use it in the future!

Icarus and Daedalus

Hi everyone! This week, we were supposed to make a podcast in pairs. We chose turning a myth into a play out of three options. Firstly we read the Greek myth ''Icarus and Daedalus'' and then getting help from the Internet we constituted the dialogues between Icarus and Daedalus. It is really hard to record your own voice especially when you listen to it afterwards. After many attempts finally we were satisfied with our voice and now we share it with you! :)
